On Sunday 3/31/19 it was announced to our congregation that Rev David Thompson will be coming to serve at St. Timothy Lutheran Church
Pastor David Thompson and his wife, Jenna, have six children and eight grandchildren. Three of their daughters (Maren, Madelynn, and Marissa) will be at Bethany Lutheran College this fall. Ahna, their youngest, is still with them at home. Their son, Pastor Noah Thompson and wife Courtney, along with their three children, live in East Grand Forks, MN. Their oldest, Maggie, is married to Joe Faugstad; they live in Faribault, MN, with their five young sons.
Rev. Thompson received his M. Div. from Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary, Minnesota. He has been pastor of several congregations of the ELS and also served at Bethany Lutheran College for 12 years. He has been involved with youth of the synod, directs worldview conferences, and currently serves the synod in a couple of other ways. He is author of the book, What in the World Is Going On? Identifying Hollow and Deceptive Worldviews (NPH). Prior to coming to St. Timothy, he has been the pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas for the past five years.
Rev. Thompson will be joining St. Timothy in the future – exact date TBD. We thank God for this announcement and are eagerly awaiting his arrival!
